The following are my policies for my website:
Payment: Payment is via PayPal or credit card (using Simplify) at the time of order. Your shipment will be completed within 24 hours of payment receipt. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for all custom work to cover cost of materials. Custom work is non-returnable/non-refundable.
Shipping: Shipping is a flat rate of $5 and will be shipped via USPS Priority mail as soon as possible (usually 24 hours) after your payment has cleared. Custom orders will require additional time. Items over $50 will have additional insurance added to that covered by priority mail. Your purchase will be shipped in a glossy, textured black gift box with a tag describing the materials used in the piece, recommendations for cleaning your jewelry and a business card in bubble mailers or in a UPSP flat rate box. Earrings with hook-style ear wires will include rubber stoppers. I will email you when the items are mailed and provide you with the tracking number and estimated delivery date (usually 2-3 days for priority mail). Currently I only ship to locations within the United States. Please note that I ship only to the address shown in PayPal or on the credit card.
Alterations: Alternations can made to any item prior to shipment. These alterations are free unless substantial additional material is needed. If so, I will advise you of the addition cost of materials (labor is included in the original price). Please let me know at the time of ordering if alteration is needed. If any alterations are needed after you receive the item, it must be shipped back to me at your expense.
Custom Orders: All jewelry is personally handmade by me in my workshop located in Connecticut. If you see a design you like but want it in different color or materials, please contact me to discuss your requirements. Custom orders are always welcome but I will ask for a 50% non-refundable deposit before starting your design.
Refunds/Returns: Returns are accepted for a refund (less shipping and credit card fees) with the following conditions. You must contact me within 7 days of receiving your purchase. The items must be well packaged and returned to me in new, unused and unaltered condition within 3 days of contacting me. Shipping costs and any credit card/PayPal fees will be deducted from the refund. Custom made or altered items will not be accepted for return or refund. Due to hygienic concerns, earrings are not returnable.
Damaged Items: You must notify me within 48 hours of receiving your item if it has been damaged during shipment. If your item is damaged or lost during shipment I will work with you to contact USPS since all items are shipped with insurance but cannot be held responsible.
Repairs: I make quality handmade jewelry and stand behind everything I create. I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. However, I cannot be responsible for damage or wear incurred after wearing the item. Also, refunds are not available if you change your mind about your purchase since all items are hand crafted. I provide free lifetime repairs as long as you pay to ship the item back to me and pay for any materials that exceed $5. Any items sent back to me must be sent via USPS Priority Mail with appropriate insurance at your cost.
